Why we are choosing Social Skills in San Francisco
Tulips Speech Therapy was founded by Hession Hogan, a specialist in
her field with a diverse and extensive educational background in
speech-language pathology and communicative disorders. She also
teaches a graduate course as a faculty member at Speech Disorders in
San Francisco State University. Hession has worked extensively with
children with various diagnoses and syndromes such as Autism, Down
Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and many others. Hession is a therapist who
believes in continuing education so that she can serve her patients
in the highest capacity. She is a member of the American Speech and
Hearing Association (ASHA), California and Speech-Language-Hearing
Association (CSHA).
Session's sister, Maggie, graduated with a Bachelor and Master’s of
Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. She specializes
in childhood apraxia of speech and has worked for over ten years with
children that have special needs. Maggie specializes in childhood
apraxia of speech, receptive and expressive language delays, autism
and other underdevelopment conditions. She is passionate about
working with adults with traumatic brain injury, those who stutter
and has worked with the transgender community of all ages. Both
sisters experienced the need for Social
Skills in San Francisco as children and together, Session and
Maggie bring happiness and comfort to children and adults with Speech
Therapy in San Francisco.
